CPP official arrested in Ozamiz

Government forces have arrested another high-ranking Communist Party of the Philippines official in Barangay Aguada in Ozamiz City, a police spokesman said Friday.

Supt. Lemuel Gonda, Northern Mindanao police spokesman, said Rommel Dorango Salinas is expected to face charges for frustrated murder at destructive arson,

Salinas is the latest high-ranking CPP official to be arrested by government troops.

On Wednesday, National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) consultant Rafael Baylosis and alleged New People's Army member Guillermo Roque were arrested for illegal possession of firearms and explosives.
